Romania’s Minister of Labour, Family, Social Protection and the Elderly Mariana Campeanu is paying an official visit to the Netherlands, at the invitation of the Dutch Minister of Social Affairs and Employment Lodewijk Asscher.
The visit happens in the context of the Netherlands’ liberalization of its labour market for the Romanian citizens as of Jan 1, 2014, when it ends the seven-year maximal period of restrictions stipulated in the European Union’s Accession Treaty with Romania and Bulgaria, informs the release the Romanian Labour Ministry sent to Agerpres.
The visit’s agenda schedules talks with her Dutch counterpart and a working meeting with outstanding members of the governmental, political, business and trade unions environment.
Likewise, Minister Mariana Campeanu, as a main guest, is attending the high level meeting on the free movement of workers within the European Union, staged by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment in cooperation with other Dutch Ministries and the local authorities of the Hague, Rotterdam and Westland.(Agenţia Naţională de Presă AGERPRES)
