France’s ambassador to Romania, Francois Saint-Paul, supports the statement made by the President of the French Republic, according to which no barbaric act will be able to hinder the freedom of the press, pointing out that France is a united country who will know how to react and remain solidary.
„I thank, in the name of France and of all Frenchmen, Romanians and the Romanian authorities for their messages of support and condolences. In this tragic context, the promptness and scale of these messages have a large symbolic value. As the President of the French Republic stated, ‘no barbaric act will be able to hinder the freedom of the press. We are a united country that will know how to react and remain solidary'”, said the French ambassador, according to a release remitted on Wednesday. The terrorist attack committed on Wednesday at the headquarters of the weekly satire newspaper Charlie Hebdo has left 12 dead, of which 8 journalists, and 11 wounded, 4 in critical conditions, said on Wednesday evening French Prosecutor-General Francois Molins, quoted by AFP.
