Gov’t spends four billion euros for investments

The Romanian Government has spent by July some four billion euros for investments programmes, accounting for 45% of the aimed programme, said on Thursday PM Emil Boc.
‘Unfortunately, 15-17% percent of the sum was spent by local administrations, but they should step up the pace in the upcoming months.

The principle we used in some programmes such as the buildings’ weatherisation programme is ‘the first come, the first served,’ so that mayors who organize auctions will receive money to carry out the works and the remainder will be left without the Government’s financial support,’ said the Romanian premier.

Emil Boc on Friday was present at the check-up of weatherisation works at a block of flats from Bucharest’s 2 district included in the multiannual weatherisation programme of the Ministry of Regional Development and Housing.
