The Finance Ministry (MFP) on Monday raised RON 474.65 million (nearly 111.68 million euros) through the sale of a discount Treasury bill issue in value of RON 800 hundred million, auctioned by the National Bank of Romania (BNR), the Ministry informs.
The certificates have one-year maturity and the average profitability rate to which the issue was adjudicated stood at 7 percent. The average weighted discount rate was of 6.54 percent and the average weighted level of discount price to which the offer was adjudicated is 93.3913 percent. The total value of the issue was RON 800 million, at a demand of RON 1.542 billion from the 12 bidding banks.
Submitting bids were 12 primary dealers – Alpha Bank Romania, BRD- Groupe Societe Generale, Banca Comerciala Carpatica (BCC), Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), Banca Transilvnaia, Bancpost, CEC Bank, Citibank Romania, ING, Raiffeisen Bank, RBS Bank Romania and UniCredit Tiriac Bank.
