Over 140,000 green certificates traded in 2009

A number of 103,436 green certificates have been traded at a central level, within the ten monthly tenders organized up to the present, for the achievement of the compulsory quota for 2009, according to a release of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Environment.

Last year, 141,607 green certificates were traded, out of which 38,171 certificates were purchased by providers on the OPCOM platform for the achievement of the compulsory quota for 2008, and 103,436 certificates for the achievement of the quota for 2009. They account for 46.53 percent of the certificates issued by the last tendering deadline, December 15, 2009.
The green certificates’ average price for the achievement of the compulsory quota for 2009 was 215.34 lei per certificate (55 euros for a certificate at the average value of the exchange rate for December 2008, i.e. 3.9153 lei).
