Romania imports 3.128M toe in H1
Romania imported 3.128 million tones of oil equivalent (toe), in the first half of 2010 by 377,300 tonnes, namely 10.8 percent less than during the same period of 2009, National Statistics Institute (INS) data inform.
The crude production amounted to 2.031 million toe, over the above mentioned time span, by 1.2 percent, namely 24,100 toe lower than that of the same period, last year. Romania’s National Prognosis Commission (CNP) expects the crude production to reach 4.4 million toe and the imports to stand at 7.25 toe, in 2010. According to British Petroleum’s statistics, Romania‘s proved crude reserves amounted to 500 million barrels, late in 2008, less than half, namely 1.2 billion barrels as confirmed late in 1988.
