Ten ministries to present budget expenditure framework for 2011-2013

Ten ministries with the largest budgets will have to present their medium-term budget expenditure framework for 2011-2013, government’s spokesman, Ioana Muntean, announced on Wednesday, at the Victoria Palace.

The government on Wednesday decided that the 10 largest employing authorities of the state budget, which are beneficiaries of the largest budget allocations in 2010 to provide a framework for medium-term expenditure, which will be part of the fiscal-budgetary strategy for 2011-2013, according to the law on fiscal responsibility.
The ten ministries are the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Administration and Interior, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism, Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Environment, said Ioana Muntean.

,,The plans for the allocation of budgetary resources that will be presented by the 10 ministries will include the priorities in terms of spending, a detailed schedule of public investments, so that in the end to result which major investments in infrastructure and in other areas should remain as priorities.
The government decision also targets a cut in costs on consulting, design, studies, so that funds to be directed to complete as many projects as possible, said the Executive spokesman. Muntean also added that each of the ten ministries would set a person to keep in touch with the Ministry of Public Finance.
