Bucharest Radisson Blu Hotel, leader in hospitality industry

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest is Romania’s largest five-star hotel and the largest Radisson accommodation facility in Eastern Europe, reads a release given to publicity by consultancy group MKG Hospitality.

Radisson Blu’s leading position on the local hospitality market is also confirmed by the three prestigious awards it won just months after opening. Radisson Blu Bucharest was designated Hotel of the Year 2008 in South-Eastern Europe at the SEE Real Estate Awards Gala, it was presented the trophy Hotel of the Year 2009 in Romania by the HRB Expert Hospitality Forum and was included in the Brands to Watch category of the prestigious program Business Superbrands Romania.

In the first year of operation, Radisson Blu Hotel hosted wide-scale national and regional events such as the conference of the European Traffic Police Network, Hi Fi Arena, Cisco Expo, GIE Gas Infrastructure. Located on Victoriei Avenue, Bucharest’s Radisson Blu Hotel has 424 rooms, 301 of which are standard rooms, 74 business class rooms, 10 rooms adjusted for people with disabilities and 39 suites.

According to the „Top 10 Luxury Brands in Europe’ ranking worked out by MKG Hospitality, the Radisson network, which joins Radisson Blu and Radisson Edwardian, became the biggest luxury hotel brand, outperforming the Hilton International brand (that operates 146 hotels and 37,806 rooms) and Marriott (86 hotels and 20,806 rooms).
