„Many of my colleagues called for measures allowing us to disconnect the party from what the government means, so that the political party’s activity stays as such, and the part of governance stays strictly with government members,’ PDL deputy Valeriu Alecu on Monday briefed a press conference about one of the topics of the meeting at Snagov.
According to Alecu, three or four well-known Liberal Democrats, who are not members of the government, might be tasked with the public dissemination of the PDL message.
PDL lawmakers request uncoupling of party’s from government’s message, deputy informs
Liberal Democratic MPs attending Sunday’s meeting at Snagov with the head of the state and government members asked that the message of the Liberal Democratic Party (PDL, major at rule) be uncoupled from the message sent by the government.
„The issue was brought up within the party, that we should have a National Council appoint three to four high-profile people (…), who are not members of the government and who should strictly see to the party activity, to carry the party’s message, to be the team that designs party policies, so that the National Party Bureau sees to what the party should do on political ground, not dole out dignities in ministries and at local level,” Valeriu Alecu added.
