25,086 green certificates traded in March

The number of green certificates traded in March, on the Centralized Green Certificates Market (PCCV) amounted to 25,086 units, that is an increase by 58 percent on the same time span a year before, when there were traded 15,842 green certificates.

There were 14 purchase and 12 sale offers in March, with the closing price being 232.36 leiper certificate, according to data published on the website of the Power Market Operator – OPCOM. In the first quarter of 2010, 91,530 green certificates were sold on the PCCV.

As of December 1, 2006, there entered into force the Regulation for organising and functioning of the Green Certificates Market, approved through Order 22 of ANRE, issued on October 18, 2006. For the period 2005-2012, the minimum and maximum trading value of green certificates is 24 euros per certificate, 42 euros per certificate respectively, calculated based on the exchange rate set by the National Bank of Romania (BNR), for the last working day of December, 2010.
