Lei credit (national currency) dropped by 1 percent (minus 1.2 percent in real terms), whereas foreign currency credit expressed in lei advanced 0.6 percent (expressed in euros the foreign currency credit rose by 0.9 percent).
On Feb. 28, 2010, the non-governmental credit scored a reduction of 3.7 percent (minus 7.9 percent in real terms) from Feb. 28, 2009 at the expense of a reduction by 5.1 percent of the component in lei (minus 9.2 percent in real terms) and of a decline by 2.8 percent of the component in foreign currency expressed in lei (expressed in euros the foreign currency credit advanced 1.5 percent).
The governmental credit rose in Feb. by 2.7 percent, to 50.920 billion lei. On Feb. 28, 2010, the governmental credit jumped by 105.1 percent (96.3 percent in real terms) from Feb. 28, 2009.
